Welcome to the 10th Corsham Walking Festival

Corsham is a medieval market town that lies on the fringe of the Cotswolds Natural Landscape. Come and see the Northwest Wiltshire hills, valleys and fields when they are at their best. Choose from twenty guided walks.

You will receive a warm welcome in our “Walkers Are Welcom” accredited town. An enjoyable and informative weekend of walking waits you whatever your walking ability.

All places on walks need to be pre-booked. Booking opens on Tuesday 2nd April 2024.

You can book using: The Book Now button on the relevant walk page on this website. Confirmation of purchase will be provided during the booking process with an e-ticket.

Ticket sales will cease at 12 noon on the day before each walk so that a list of walkers’ details can be provided to the Festival Committee.

Ticket sales are non-refundable. Prices include a donation to Wiltshire Air Ambulance unless otherwise stated.

Please provide an emergency telephone number if you are not attending the walk with a friend, partner or relative. You must have permission to share this telephone number.

The walk leaders are in charge of the walk. Their decision on participation is final. You need to choose a walk suitable for your ability. The walk leaders are experienced but have to take your word that you are sufficiently fit for your chosen grade of walk.

In the event of a cancellation or changes made by the Corsham Walking Festival to any walks due to unforeseen circumstances, details of those changes will be made available on the website at www.corshamwalkingfestival.org.uk.

Dogs (other than assistance dogs) are regrettably not permitted on walks.

A responsible adult must accompany vulnerable people and all under 18-year-olds.

You are responsible for your own personal safety (or must be accompanied by an adult who is).

Whilst we endeavour to make all our walks as safe and as enjoyable as possible, any event attended is done so at your own risk. Due care has been exercised in organising the Walking Festival, however the Committee and sponsors accept no liability for loss, accident or injury caused to any person during the festival. You are advised to check your own personal accident cover before taking part.

Appropriate footwear and clothing must be worn.

Bring food, drinks and packed lunches for longer walks.

Photos and videos will be taken throughout the festival weekend and may be used for publicity purposes. Please inform the walk leader on the day if you do not want to be included.

All activities will be risk assessed and also comply to the Local Government regulations at the time of the Festival.

Parking is limited to 3 hours at the Springfield Community Campus on Friday from 8am to 6pm and is FREE on Saturday and Sunday, please use the rear car park, SN13 9DN. A Community Campus Parking Permit will be issued to walkers with cars on the FRI 2 By Brook and Visit to Jamie’s Farm walk.

All walkers are to register at the meeting location of the walk.

All walks will start promptly.

Walking distances and durations are approximate.

All walks are suitable for adults and children as indicated (but see Terms and Conditions).

Please car share and use public transport when possible.
