St Bartholomew’s Walking Group

Our next walk is about 7.5 miles on Friday 11th May, meeting 10:00 hrs at the Harp and Crown P.H. Gastard, Nr. Corsham, SN13 9PU.

Permission kindly given for car parking, but please car share and double park if necessary. Suggest bringing snack/picnic.

Advance notice that there will not be a St Bart’s walk in June due to the Corsham Walking Festival.

1 May – Tuesday Tramp

Starts 10:00 am at the Fox & Hounds pub, Colerne, SN14 8DB. Grid ref: ST 818 711.
Parking is at the pub or adjacent Constitutional Club.

This approx 5 mile moderate, often hilly walk takes about 3 hours around the various footpaths of Colerne Parish.

Lunch is available at the Fox and Hounds. Bring a mid morning snack.
Not suitable for pushchairs. The walk may be steep and muddy in places, and may include stiles.
Walkers are responsible for their own safety.

At the walk finish there will be an opportunity to donate to the Cotswold Countryside Fund, enabling the Cotswold Voluntary Wardens to maintain stiles, paths, dry stone walls and so forth.

Box Monthly Walk

Starts 10:00 am from the free car park near Selwyn Hall, Valens Terrace, Box, SN13 8NT.

The walk is approximately 5 miles and takes about 3 hours around the various footpaths of Box Parish. There may be hills and stiles.

Bring a mid morning snack.
Not suitable for pushchairs.

15 April – Corsham Wanderers

Sunday 15th April

The April monthly ramble of about 10 miles starts in the village of Wellow, about 5 miles south of Bath, at 10 am.

Please park in the free car park in Station Road (OS map 142 Grid ref 738 581).

The walk will pass Stoney Littleton Long Barrow. Please bring a picnic lunch.
Optional post walk refreshments at the Fox and Badger PH.

Corsham walkers can meet in the Co-op car park on Newlands Road at 9 am to car share. Please check return arrangements with the driver first.

The April walk is about 9 miles, meeting at 10:00 hrs at The New Inn, Lower Westwood, Nr Bradford on Avon, BA15 2AE. Permission has kindly been given for car parking.

Walkers wishing to car share may rendezvous at 09:15 hrs at St Philip and St James Church, Church Rise, Neston.

Yes, only two weeks until booking for Corsham Walking Festival 2018 opens. Many of the walks sell out quickly, so it’s a good idea to decide beforehand which ones are for you. The brochure will be available at local outlets in about a week’s time.
