Committee Vacancies

Following the AGM we still have the following vacancies on the Committee:

Walkers are Welcome. The role focuses on supporting tourism by promoting the year round walking activities taking place in the Corsham area. It includes liaison with local walking groups and editing of the monthly newsletter.
Grants and Sponsors. Involves liaising with local business and organisations to increase their involvement in, and support for, the Festival weekend.
Corsham Cloverleaf. A new role to be the coordinator of a team of volunteers interested in developing a way-marked series of routes that showcase some of the best walking in the Corsham area. It will include significant engagement with the Wiltshire Rights of Way team and local landowners.
Festival HQ arrangements. Managing the rota of volunteers manning the HQ over the Festival weekend. For 2018 will also include coordinating the programme of supporting events that we are planning for the Festival weekend at the Springfield Campus.

We have a relatively large Committee so that the workload on each post remains manageable. If these vacancies are not filled, the first Committee meeting on 19 October will need to take a view on what work will be done in these areas. If you are prepared to be involved, or want to know more, please contact Kevin Wilson by email: chair@corshamwalkingfestival.org.uk.
Thank you for your support.

He invites people to this Thursday’s (October 5th) AGM at 7.30 pm at the Methuen Arms. As well as the Walking Festival the team are working on the Corsham Cloverleaf – a number of walks way-marked and available all year round and the ‘Walkers are Welcome’ network.
