25 April – Bradford on Avon

Monthly Bradford on Avon Walkers are Welcome monthly walk:

Leaving 9.30 a.m. from the War Memorial in Westbury Gardens, next to the Town Bridge – BA15 1DE

The first all day walk of this year, led by Helen Powell – at just over 12 miles long it offers a wide variety of terrain and takes in the K&A Canal, River Avon, woods and fields, with great views and passing some interesting buildings. There will be a couple of climbs and the inevitable stiles and at times we’ll be following sections of the BoA Walking Wheel.

We’ll be going to Dundas via the canal path then crossing over the canal to follow the River Avon to Sheephouse Farm. From there we will climb up to Warleigh, walk a short section of the A363 and enter Brown’s Folly Woods. After a mile we’ll take the footpath to Monkton Farleigh and follow the outer circle of the Wheel for another mile before taking a footpath towards Lower Wraxall. Our return route to BOA will be via Spoke 1.

Please bring a packed lunch and refreshments for morning and afternoon breaks.
