Walk SUN 1 – Castle Combe Hidden Castle and Babbling Brooks

Picture of Castle Combe Cottages

Lead by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, this circular walk starts in the picturesque Cotswold village of Castle Combe with its limestone cottages, often described as the prettiest village in England.

The walk includes a unique opportunity to visit the hilltop Norman fort managed by the English Heritage that is not open to the public.

The Cotswold Voluntary Wardens were awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Services in 2018 marking half a century of dedication to the landscape and wildlife of the wonderful Cotswold countryside. They are keen to recruit new members to continue this valuable work, while learning new skills.
