Organisation of the next annual Corsham Walking Festival is progressing well. Over the weekend of the 13 – 15 June 2025 we are planning a programme of 20 walks of varying length and difficulty, however our ability to offer this programme is dependent upon the availability of sufficient walk leaders and back markers.
Although we are fortunate that many of the people who have supported us for previous festivals have volunteered to help again this year, we do still need a few more volunteers to ensure we can run a full programme and have a few “standbys” in case of emergency.
The role of a walk leader and back marker is less onerous than it sounds -and in any case we can offer a mentoring programme.
A briefing to prospective walk leaders and back markers will take place at 19:15, Thursday 23 January 2025 in the Corsham Club, Newlands Road, Corsham. If you would like to know more, either come along on the evening or get in contact with any member of the Festival Committee.
