Walk In Focus – Meanders From Marshfield

There is nothing quite like “meandering around the countryside” (with apologies to Kenneth Graham’s Wind in the Willows). Meeting at 09:30 on Saturday 13th June, this circular walk explores the beautiful and varied countryside south of Marshfield and the southern end of the Cotswold Hills.

Descending into St Catherines Valley, our walk incorporates many splendid views towards Bannerdown and Bath and sites of natural and historic interest. These include the start (or end depending upon your direction of travel) of the Limestone Link, the site of the 1643 Battle of Lansdown and passing St Catherine’s Court, the former home of Jane Seymour the actress.

A reminder that tickets need to be purchased in advance and sales for this walk close at 12:00 on Friday 12th June.
